Southend Mosque is pleased to announce our commitment to supporting local schools in delivering high-quality Religious Education (RE). We offer school visits to the mosque and arrange for our Imam and volunteers to visit schools to enhance students’ understanding of Islam.
Our Head Teacher, Imam Iftikhar Haq, along with our dedicated volunteers, is proud to support the wider community by assisting schools at all levels in fulfilling their RE syllabus requirements.
We welcome schools to arrange educational visits to Southend Mosque or invite our Imam for classroom sessions. Together, we can provide meaningful learning experiences that promote knowledge, respect, and understanding.

The Quran, the last revealed word of God, is the primary source of every Muslim’s faith and practice. It deals with all the subjects which concern human beings: wisdom, doctrine, worship, transactions, law, etc., but its basic theme is the relationship between God and His creatures. At the same time, it provides guidelines and detailed teachings for a just society, proper human conduct, and an equitable economic system.
The true character of a Muslim is only revealed through hard work and determination. We need volunteer’s to help us in mosque affairs and for Friday Congregational Prayers.
